Chris Timmer

Associate Attorney

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon and his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School. Before attending law school, Chris spent several years working in corporate banking and finance as an underwriter and risk analyst. That experience taught him how to work through complex problems, navigate competing interests, and find practical solutions. It also gave him valuable insight into the challenges individuals can face when dealing with workplace and employer-employee conflicts.

Chris additionally worked as a Mediation Specialist, helping homeowners avoid foreclosure through the Federal Foreclosure Mediation Program. It was in this role that he discovered how much he valued advocating for people during difficult and uncertain times. Working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances, Chris saw firsthand how differences in financial resources can affect a person’s ability to protect their interests and achieve a fair outcome.

As a Mediation Specialist, Chris made it a priority to ensure that each person he worked with felt heard and understood. He took the time to learn about their individual circumstances, understand their goals, and help them navigate a process that could often feel overwhelming. That experience ultimately inspired Chris to change career paths, attend law school, and pursue a career where he could continue advocating for others.

Today, Chris draws on his background in finance, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution when representing his clients. He believes effective representation starts with listening. By understanding what matters most to each client, Chris works to develop practical strategies tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Outside the office, Chris enjoys playing soccer, golfing, and reading historical fiction and adventure novels. He can also often be found working on his 1967 Volkswagen Bus, tackling one of the many projects around the house, or spending time with his family.
