Mavia Burke

Paralegal

 

Mavia works primarily in Crispin Hannon’s workers’ compensation practice. She is currently enrolled in the Paralegal Program at Portland Community College with anticipated graduation in 2023. This program offers Mavia a career path where she can utilize her writing and organizational skills to serve and advocate for members of the community. A passion for reading and research has also fueled Mavia’s interests and makes her especially suited for the complexities found in workers’ compensation.

Mavia’s background in customer service and relations has contributed to her strong communication skills, which she enjoys using with clients. As a member of the Legal Defense Support Committee for the African People's Solidarity Movement, Mavia is dedicated to providing justice and fair treatment under the law for all people, especially those oppressed and underserved.

Mavia was raised in the Pacific Northwest with a passion for soccer and the outdoors. She enjoys travel, cooking, trail running, and hiking with her dog.
